Privacy Policy

How CuteJSON handles information: what stays in your browser, which third parties can see technical data, and how to control it.

Last updated:

This policy explains what happens to information when you use CuteJSON at https://cutejson.com. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses or other personal details directly, except where you choose to send them through the contact form described below. There is no login, no profile and no user database.

What you enter on the site

Every tool on this site runs inside your browser. The JSON you paste, type, upload or open is processed on your own device by code that was downloaded with the page, and it is not transmitted to us or to anyone else. There is no server that receives it, so there is nothing for us to store, log or delete. Nothing you enter is written to your browser storage either, which is why closing the tab loses it.

You do not have to take that on trust. Open your browser developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use any tool on this site: no request carries what you pasted. The one place where you deliberately send us something is the contact form described below, which transmits only what you type into it.

Browser storage

The site stores two small values in your browser's local storage: your theme preference (light, dark or system) and your answer to the cookie notice. Both are first party, both stay on your device, and neither identifies you. Clearing your browser storage removes them.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful and where the site falls short. It processes technical and usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. IP anonymisation is enabled, and analytics storage stays disabled until you accept the cookie notice.

Google explains its own handling of this data in the Google privacy and terms documentation .

Performance monitoring

Separately from Google Analytics, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to monitor how the site performs. It is a first party tool run by Cloudflare, the same company that hosts this site, and it is distinct from the Google Analytics section above and from the general request handling described under Hosting and security below. It reports aggregated performance and usage metrics, such as page load times, resource timing, approximate country or region, and device or browser type, measured at Cloudflare's edge rather than through a script that follows you across visits. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or any other client-side storage, and it does not fingerprint or otherwise attempt to identify individual visitors, so it runs regardless of your answer to the cookie notice and is not listed in the Cookie Policy's cookie tables.

Cloudflare describes this in its own Web Analytics documentation .

Session recording and heatmaps

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with the site through features such as session replays and click/scroll heatmaps. Clarity captures behavioral metrics and session data to help us improve site usability and user experience. Website usage data is captured using first- and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies. For more details on how Microsoft collects and processes this data, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement .

Advertising

This site displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Personalised advertising is disabled unless you accept the cookie notice; if you decline, ads may still appear in non personalised form based on general context rather than your browsing history.

You can review and change what Google uses for advertising at My Ad Center .

Contact form

The contact form is delivered by Web3Forms, which forwards your message to our inbox by email. The name, email address, optional subject and message you type are transmitted to Web3Forms for that purpose. We do not store your message anywhere else, and we use your address only to reply.

Hosting and security

The site is served through Cloudflare. As part of delivering and protecting the site, Cloudflare processes technical request information such as IP address, browser and device information, and request timing. This happens for every visit and is a normal part of how the site reaches you safely.

Data retention

We do not operate a database of visitors, so there is nothing on our side to retain. Information held by the third parties named above is retained according to their own policies.

International transfers

Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Web3Forms and Cloudflare operate global infrastructure, so the technical information they process may be handled in a country other than your own as a normal part of how those services work. We do not operate any infrastructure of our own beyond the delivery of this static site.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information through the contact form, get in touch and we will delete the message.

Your rights

Because the site collects almost nothing about you directly, most of these rights are exercised with the third party that actually processes the information, not with us.

  • If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, data protection law gives you the right to access, correct, delete or restrict information a service holds about you, to object to its processing, and to complain to your local supervisory authority. Where a right concerns information Google or Web3Forms processes on our behalf, contact them directly using the links on this page, or write to us and we will pass the request on for anything we can act on ourselves.
  • If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information, and we do not have any of yours to hand over beyond what you send through the contact form.
  • Whatever your location, you can clear your browser's local storage to remove your theme and consent preferences, block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and manage Google's advertising preferences through My Ad Center .

See the Cookie Policy for the full list of what is stored, how long it lasts, and how to opt out of each one.
