What you get
The parts that do the actual work.
-
Fast on purpose
No framework, no editor library, no megabyte of JavaScript to download before you can paste anything. Pages are plain HTML and a tool works the moment the page does.
-
Nothing you paste is uploaded
Every tool runs in your browser. There is no account, no upload and no server doing the work, and an automated test on every build checks that no request carries your document.
-
Four languages, the same tools
Every page is available in English, Spanish, Hindi and French, with the same tools and the same explanations in each rather than a thinner version for everyone else.
How it works
Three steps, no account needed.
- 01
Pick a tool
Formatting, validating, minifying, repairing, exploring, comparing and querying each have their own page, all listed on the tools page.
- 02
Paste your JSON
Paste or type into the editor, or load the sample to see what the tool does. Nothing is sent anywhere, so a document you would not hand to a stranger is safe here.
- 03
Take the result away
Copy the output, download it as a file, or copy the path of a single value straight into your own code. No sign up and nothing to install.
Frequently asked questions
Answers to what people ask most.
What is CuteJSON?
CuteJSON is a set of JSON tools that run entirely in your browser. You can format and beautify JSON, validate it against the specification, minify it, repair broken JSON such as trailing commas and unquoted keys, explore a document as a collapsible tree, compare two documents by value, run JSONPath queries and resolve JSON Pointers. Every tool works on text you paste in and hands the result straight back, with no account and nothing to install.
Is it free to use?
Yes. Every tool is free, there is no paid tier, no trial and no account. The site is cheap to run because there is no server doing the work: the tools execute in your own browser, so hosting is little more than the cost of sending a few pages. Advertising may appear below the tools to cover the domain and hosting, and it is placed under the tool rather than above or inside it, so it can never push the thing you came for off the screen.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign up, no login and nothing to install. Open a tool, paste your JSON and use it. There is no user database, no saved history and no profile, which also means there is nothing here that could leak in a breach. The site does remember two things in your browser, your theme choice and your answer to the cookie notice, and both stay on your device.
Is my JSON uploaded anywhere?
No. Every tool runs in your browser, and no document you paste is sent to any server. You can check it rather than take our word for it: open your browser developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run any tool. No request carries your data. An automated test in this project asserts the same thing on every build. If advertising or analytics are switched on, those third parties see ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser, which is described in the privacy policy, but they never see what you paste.
